One quiet day.One mirror you'll keep forever.
Spend a full, unhurried day dotting an intricate mandala around a mirror, and go home with a handmade heirloom and a calm you'll want to bottle.
Imagine a whole day with nothing pulling at you. No rushing, no screens, no list waiting in the other room. Just you, color, and the quiet rhythm of dot after dot.
This is our full-day Mandala Mirror Retreat, and it is something special. Where an evening class gives you a couple of hours, a whole day together lets us go so much deeper: real layering, true symmetry, the slow build of color and flow that makes dot art feel less like a craft and more like meditation.
Fourteen of us gather in a studio closed to the world for the day. We dot, we pause for a shared lunch, we laugh a little, and by the golden hour you're holding a statement mirror you made entirely yourself. It's the kind of day you find yourself thinking back on for weeks.
A statement mandala mirror.
Over the course of the day you'll dot an intricate mandala radiating out around a mirror, one patient layer at a time. The finished piece measures 16 inches across with an 8-inch mirror at its center, a real, hang-on-the-wall statement, the kind of thing guests stop and ask about.
You'll work with my personal collection of paints and professional dotting tools, learning how to build symmetry, balance color, and add the fine details that make a mandala glow. Every step is guided, and I'm beside you the whole way, so the finished piece looks like something you can hardly believe you made.
Your colors. Your background.
You choose every color and whether to dot on a dark or light background, so your mirror fits your space exactly, from soft and serene to bold and dramatic. Color changes everything.
Rich & dramatic
Deep, moody tones that turn your mirror into a striking statement against a bright wall.
Soft & serene
Airy, neutral shades that feel calm and timeless in a bright, minimal space.
And because it's made entirely by you, in colors you chose, it becomes a deeply personal gift for someone you love.
What's included.
The mirror, every paint and dotting tool, and practice worksheets to warm up on. There's nothing to buy and nothing to bring.
Step-by-step instruction and one-on-one support from me all day, at a relaxed, unhurried pace that works for you.
A shared lunch and refreshments throughout the day, so the whole thing feels like a true retreat for yourself.
Just fourteen seats, in a studio closed to the public for the day, so it stays calm, personal, and easy to focus.
Try my personal paint collection, professional brushes, and specialty textured paints you won't find in a starter kit.
You leave the same day with a completed mirror ready to hang, plus a genuine sense of calm and accomplishment.
How the day flows.
Settle in & find your palette
We start gently with coffee and warm-ups. You'll choose your colors, sketch your design, and get comfortable with the tools before we begin.
Build the mandala, then lunch together
We lay down the first layers of the mandala with guided instruction, then pause for a shared lunch to rest your hands and connect with the group.
Layer the detail & flow
This is where it comes alive. We add depth, symmetry, and the delicate details, working at an unhurried pace with refreshments close by.
Final touches & show-and-tell
We finish our mirrors, gather for a group show-and-tell, and you head home with your piece and a calm that lingers well past the day.
A gentle outline of the day. Exact timing is shared with you before the retreat.
Fourteen dotters, one quiet studio, and a whole day of making something beautiful together. Last time we created a 16-inch mandala; this retreat, it's the mandala mirror.

"Painting is my therapy. And I believe it can be yours too."
I'm Lina West, a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner and a Ukrainian-born artist living in Northern California. My dot art journey began nearly ten years ago with a handful of river rocks, and it grew into pioneering techniques, custom dotting tools, and a teaching method students use all over the world.
What I love most is the calm the practice brings. My retreats are unhurried and warm by design, a real reset for your mind as much as a class. Come exactly as you are, and let's make something beautiful together.
If a piece this big feels intimidating, know that at our last retreat almost no one had painted anything this large before, and every single person went home with a finished piece they were proud of. You don't need any experience. You only need to give yourself the day.
